Don Bosco Tech Society witnessed a momentous event on October 3, 2023, as the Inauguration Program for the Housekeeping Trainee B2 students, part of the Mindtree project, unfolded. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of key figures, including Fr. Saji Stephen (Director), Fr. Arcadius Puweiñ (Principal), Bro. Firstbornson Jyrwa (Vice-Principal), Miss Rhiedolcy Diengdoh (Placement Coordinator), Sir Wallambok Kharbihkhiew (MIS), Miss Genesis Najiar (Trainer), parents, and, of course, our talented trainees.

Miss Genesis Najiar, the host of the event, extended a warm welcome to all the attendees, with a special appreciation for the parents for their unwavering support and presence.

The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer led by Fr. Saji Stephen, setting the perfect tone for the day's proceedings.

Fr. Arcadius Puweiñ, in his insightful address, emphasized the vast opportunities presented by the hospitality industry. He encouraged our trainees to approach their training as an investment in their future, highlighting that these opportunities exist not only outside the state but also within our local region.

The trainees then showcased their creativity with a remarkable song presentation, adding an artistic flair to the event.

Ms. Rhiedolcy Diengdoh, the Placement Coordinator, delivered an inspiring speech, stressing the importance of recognizing the potential of this free training in providing livelihoods through job placements. She advised the students to embrace the changes that come with entering the workforce, urging them to maintain a positive mindset throughout their journey.

Fr. Saji Stephen shared an inspirational anecdote, reminding everyone of the importance of spreading awareness about the opportunities they've received. By doing so, they are effectively "saving" the lives of others by providing them with job opportunities, much like the boy saving stranded starfish by returning them to the sea.

Sir Wallambok Kharbihkhiew expressed gratitude to all the attendees for their participation, support, and dedication to the program.

The event concluded with a delightful refreshment session, providing an opportunity for attendees to interact and engage in meaningful discussions.

In conclusion, the Housekeeping Trainee B2 Inauguration Program on October 3, 2023, was a truly enlightening and motivating experience. The event not only marked the beginning of the students' training but also served as a powerful reminder of their role in creating opportunities for others in their community. It was a day filled with valuable insights and encouragement to seize the training seriously and make the most of the opportunities presented in the field of hospitality and housekeeping.
